Silverthorn wanted to examine the complexities of challenges facing our democracy- and potential solutions- in a new way. Capturing the Moment follows an accomplished and diverse lineup of photographers on an assignment of their choosing as they work to capture a unique facet of our democracy in a single image. The result is an engaging series of digital shorts exploring the work being done to strengthen our democracy.
